ഇന്നു ( ഒക്ടോബർ – 14) മുതൽ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച വരെ ചെന്നൈയിൽ ശക്തമായ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യതയെന്ന് കാലാവസ്ഥാ നിരീക്ഷണ കേന്ദ്രം അറിയിച്ചു. 10 ജില്ലകളിൽ മഞ്ഞ ജാഗ്രതാ നിർദേശവുമുണ്ട്. നാലു ജില്ലകളിലെ സ്കൂളുകൾക്ക് നാളെ അവധി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. വെള്ളപ്പൊക്ക സാധ്യത മുൻനിർത്തി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി എം കെ സ്റ്റാലിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ അടിയന്തരയോഗം ചേർന്നു.
