കാരയ്ക്കമണ്ഡപത്ത് പ്രസവത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ അമ്മയും കുഞ്ഞും മരിച്ചു. പൂന്തുറ സ്വദേശിനി ഷമീന(36) യാണ് മരിച്ചത്. പ്രസവത്തിനിടെ വീട്ടിൽ വച്ചാണ് മരണം. ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പോകാതെ വീട്ടിൽ പ്രസവം എടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. രക്തസ്രാവത്തെ തുടർന്നാണ് മരണം. കുടുംബസമേതം കാരയ്ക്കമണ്ഡപത്ത് വാടകയ്ക്ക് താമസിച്ചു വരികയായിരുന്നു.
